October 23, 2023

The 7th MINEX Europe Mining and Exploration Forum organised by MINEX - Mining and Exploration Forum took place from 17 to 19 October 2023 in Wrocław, Poland.

During the first section "Rethinking Mining in Europe to meet the Metals and Materials Demand" Snježana Miletić presented our work related to the establishment of the EU International Centre of Excellence for Sustainable Resource Management  (EU ICE-SRM), which we are developing within GSEU. She also briefly introduced the concept of UNFC (United Nations Framework Classification for Resources) to the participants.

Throughout the conference, speakers discussed the challenges they face in the exploration and extraction of mineral resources in order to achieve the goals of the European initiatives for a sustainable supply of mineral resources. The majority of participants were representatives of the mining industry.
